Lost Voice Guy’s real name is Lee Ridley. He is a writer, journalist, comedian and geek who is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England.
He also suffers from Cerebral Palsy. He has no speech (he uses a small machine called a Lightwriter to speak) and he walks with a limp. Don’t worry though, you can’t catch it from him. It just means that you better not get stuck behind him on the stairs if there’s a fire.
He is currently working as a full time comedian. He has also previously worked for Sunderland City Council’s communications team, the BBC in Newcastle and London as well as various local newspapers including the Sunday Sun and the Evening Chronicle.
Lee has a Masters degree in online journalism and an undergraduate degree in journalism, both from the University of Central Lancashire. His Masters degree was sponsored by the BBC News Sponsorship Scheme. A full CV is available on request.
In his spare time, he enjoys writing comedy/fiction and performing comedy. He has a keen interest in many sports including football, basketball and ice hockey. He likes watching television especially comedy and science fiction and various documentaries and enjoys reading horror, science fiction, factual books and autobiographies.
He likes going out to clubs/bars/gigs and listening to various types of music and supporting the local music scene as well as going to various local events, venues and exhibitions.
He also has a keen interest in all aspects of computers including the internet, social media, digital photography and web site design.
Lee would be happy to hear from you if you would like to discuss anything further. You can do this through his contact page.
Oh, he also likes to write in the third person….
