This is just a quick note to say thank you to everyone who helped me raise £350 for Comic Relief by sponsoring me to dress up as Lost Voice Girl for my gig at The Stand in Newcastle. As it always is at The Stand, it was a lovely gig. It did feel a little bit weird wearing a dress on stage though, especially as I couldn’t see a thing because of the wig! The worst thing that I looked hotter than I usually do as well!

Dude looks like a lady – Lost Voice Guy’s Comic Relief challenge 2013

I’m a lady!
I’ll be honest. One Direction covering Teenage Kicks makes me want to never help a starving child ever again. Ironically, it makes me want to kick some teenagers instead.
Alas, I could never be that cruel…….or could I?!
Two years ago, I changed my voice for a whole week to raise money for Comic Relief. I really enjoyed having a bit of a laugh at my own expense so I thought I’d do it again. Obviously a lot has happened in the last two years, so I thought I’d take advantage of that when I came up with this year’s fundraising idea.
It’s been a funny old year….
Posted: February 4, 2013 in comedy, disability, humour, News, stand up comedyA year ago this evening, I made my stand up comedy debut in Sunderland – the video of the gig is below. Little did I know what was going to happen next!
I’ve always been a big fan of comedy and I love going to watch stand up comedy myself. I’d always said that, if I could talk, that would probably be my dream job. I never expected to do it though. I just didn’t think it was possible.
Then, some friends said that it might work and that I should try it. I thought they were crazy at first but the idea stuck in the back of my mind. Eventually I decided to give it a try because I knew I’d regret it if I didn’t. It seems like I was right.
