WORK WITH LOST VOICE GUY

I'm a disabled stand up comedian - based in Newcastle Upon Tyne - who needs help with traveling to my gigs across the country. See below for full details.

I am currently looking for a few people who would be available as back up to my current staff to help me on a casual basis to drive me to my gigs that are outside of Newcastle. I tend to have three or four gigs a week, most of which can be made in a day, although some trips require an overnight stay for a few nights. As I have a few people who help me, you may not be required to do all of them. It just depends who is available on those dates.

I love a good list, so you will be required to:

Be available a few days/evenings a week

Have a background in support work/personal care

Have a drivers licence and a car. I have my own van so if you are experienced in driving larger vehicles, then that's a bonus. Please mention this in your application.

Help me set up my iPad at the gig (basically make sure there’s a table and that the iPad is plugged in)

Help me with making food/drinks, helping with personal care, getting changed if staying overnight

Laugh at ALL of my jokes

Of course, all expenses would be paid and you would get paid £100 per day as well.

This would probably suit someone who didn’t have too many commitments, lives in the north east, doesn't mind driving (especially at night) and who could give up a few days/evenings a week to travel with me to places. It would probably also help if you liked me!

Anyway, if you are interested in helping me out and want to earn a bit of money, please get in touch and we can discuss it in more detail.

Please include a covering letter when applying so I know a bit about you.

Make sure you include the following when replying:

NAME

AGE

LOCATION

DO YOU HAVE A CAR/DRIVERS LICENCE

DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE IN DRIVING VANS?

WHEN ARE YOU GENERALLY AVAILABLE

WHEN YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO START HELPING FROM

ANYTHING ELSE THAT YOU THINK IS RELEVANT

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £100.00 per day

Expected hours: 7 – 31 per week

Experience:

  • Support Environment: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person

There are 16 million disabled people in the UK. That’s 1 in 5 of us.
But life is still unequal for disabled people. Negative attitudes and daily physical barriers. Enough is enough.
The time has come for change.

What an amazing day at the Great North Run. Congrats to everyone who did it! And special thanks to my team of pushers Lee, Beth, Claudia and Ernie!

There’s still time to sponsor me and raise some more money for the fantastic @SmileforlifeNE - https://www.justgiving.com/page/lost-voice-guys-fundraiser-sfl?utm_medium=fundraising&utm_content=page%2Flost-voice-guys-fundraiser-sfl&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=pfp-share

Knock knock Who's there? Little old lady Little old lady who? I never knew you could yodel.... 😁

How many storm troopers does it take to change a lightbulb? None, because they are all on the dark side.

If that’s the invisible man (at the door), tell I can’t see him.

A bit of fun for Sunday morning!
Had a great time last night at the sporting retirement of one of my oldest friends (and total legend) @hailfabio1. Congratulations on such an amazing career, Stephen, and all the best for the future. We’ve come a long way since infant school at Percy Hedley! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
